OUR CONTINENTAL REACH
Development Watchers Africa begins its focus from within Africa but operates with a global outlook.
We collaborate with regional and international partners to align Africa’s progress with global development standards.
We believe Africa’s story must be told by Africans — through informed voices that understand the continent’s realities, celebrate its diversity, and shape its destiny.
OUR COMMITMENT TO COLLABORATION
In streamlining its activities, Development Watchers Africa will actively collaborate with non-governmental organizations (NGOs), civil society groups, and development partners in the actualization of projects, as well as in the monitoring and assessment of project implementations across Africa.
Furthermore, the organization will participate directly in community-based project implementation and action assessment, ensuring that development efforts at the grassroots are aligned with measurable outcomes and real community impact.
This partnership and participation approach strengthens our goal of promoting transparency, accountability, and sustainable development through evidence-based reporting and independent field evaluation.
Our Digital Empowerment Arm – SITESLEAD
To further its mission, Development Watchers Africa operates a digital support arm known as SITESLEAD — a company specializing in website building, hosting, and digital visibility.
Through SITESLEAD, we help individuals, communities, NGOs, and organizations establish a strong online presence, connect with wider audiences, and effectively communicate their initiatives to the world.
This initiative bridges the gap between development communication and digital empowerment, making it easier for social impact projects to be seen, supported, and sustained.
DEVELOPMENT WATCHERS SPIRIT
We are actors and watchers, not as mere observers but as active participants and defenders of Africa’s future.
We watch with insight.
We write with purpose.
We act with conviction.
Our Founder-JODike
JODike (Julius Otusorochukwu Dike) is a development advocate, engineer, author, publisher and storyteller driven by a lifelong commitment to building a better Africa through knowledge, innovation, and collaboration.
Educated at Bishop Shanahan College, Orlu, Imo State, and trained at the University of Ibadan and Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto; he served the Federal Government of Nigeria as Deputy Director of Engineering Services.
He served for several years as Chief Inspector of Engineering Regulation Monitoring (ERM) for the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
JODike served as Special Adviser on Renewable Energy to the Governor of Imo State, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, CON.
With years of experience in engineering services, public advisory roles, and community leadership, he brings a unique blend of technical expertise, public-sector insight, and moral conviction to the work of Development Watchers Africa.
His work across different sectors has shown him that Africa’s progress must be documented, explained, and shared in ways that empower citizens to participate actively in building the future they want.
Beyond his professional life, JODike is deeply rooted in faith pronouncements, writing of books and community activities. He is a Papal Knight of the Catholic Church, KSG, and a Noble Knight of the Order of the Knights of St. John International. He holds respected traditional titles in Igbo land, including -— Izuumunna Amorka in Amorka kingdom of Anambra State and Ud’oha Umoko-Dike Okwelle, Onu-Imo of Imo State. These honours reflect a life dedicated to service, integrity, and the pursuit of the common good.
He founded Development Watchers Africa to close the gap between development actions and public understanding — offering clear reports, insightful analysis, digital empowerment, and platforms that amplify the voices of people shaping Africa’s growth.
To further this mission, he established SITESLEAD, the organization’s digital empowerment initiative supporting individuals, organizations and businesses through modern digital tools and website solutions.
Motivated by a belief that Africa’s story must be told with truth, depth, and courage, JODike continues to write, teach, research, and inspire. His vision is simple yet powerful: to build an informed, empowered, and development-conscious Africa, one story at a time.
